Does Gnus provide a method for caching headers? I find myself
revisiting groups in which I have pulled down lots of headers
previously, only to have to wait for all of the headers to be pulled
down yet again.

Not beyond the normal cache header thing, which means that the
articles are cached as well.

I'm not sure whether it's worthwhile caching just headers. Although
we will be getting that for free when I start implementing nnagent, I
guess.

I would think that caching xover/header info might be occasionally
useful when reading news over a slip line. If you tend to keep articles
ticked or unread and enter and leave it a lot.

Yes, it would be useful, but I don't know whether it'd be sufficiently
useful to warrant spending time on...
