One has to switch to the *Group* buffer, then hit C-^ to reach the *Server* buffer, then try to close the offending server, or maybe "deny" it, and kill an openssl process on the side, or kill an associated process buffer, then reopen the server, then go back to the *Group* buffer, find the group with the asterisk, reenter it, and, finally, with baited breath, try to leave it again by pressing 'q'. That's pain and embarrassment recast now as muscle memory. -- Steven E. Harris
