Just downloaded gnus.tar.gz and built it using make.bat (replaced 'call
%1\bin\emacs.bat' with plain 'emacs' as it is in my path). No problems except
that building the info files in texi hangs emacs as it always did (just ran
the two command in the Cygnus 20.1 bash shell and everything went fine).
Then renamed the old gnus directory to gnus-5.6, and the new gnus-5.7
directory to gnus and restarted emacs 20.3.1: simply read all this email about
gnus 5.7 and answered this one. Even reading the mail with epop3mail v 0.9.7
went great!
