Since gnus can't split across servers (imap->nnml) a two-stage split
seems as a good idea: nnimap is splitting some of the mails into a
special splitbox, which is then fetched locally and split again into
nnmail groups.
This *almost* works, the problem is that the mail is fetched before imap
split is done.
Trying to change the order of gnus-secondary-select-methods and group
levels didn't help.
Any advice?
Here are the relevant portions of .gnus.el
(setq gnus-secondary-select-methods
'((nnimap ""
(nnimap-address "imap.foo.com"))))
(setq mail-sources
'(
(imap :server "imap.foo.com" :mailbox "SPLITBOX" :predicate "UNDELETED")
))
(setq nnimap-split-inbox '("INBOX"))
(setq nnimap-split-rule
'(("" ("INBOX"
;; junk
(
...
;; ding
("SPLITBOX" "^Sender:.*owner-ding@hpc\\.uh\\.edu")
...
)))))
(setq nnmail-split-methods
'(
...
("lists.ding" "^Sender:.*owner-ding@hpc\\.uh\\.edu")
...
))
Thanks,
Yair.
