Hi,
as many of you already know, Emacs 22 is in pretest (the current
version is Emacs 22.1.91).
I hope we can release Gnus 5.10.10 (and No Gnus 0.8) shortly after
Emacs 22.2 is released. Lars, what do you think?
As all changes to v5-10 are eventually synced to EMACS_22_BASE (Emacs
22 branch), please follow the following guidelines until Emacs 22.2 is
released:

| For small safe bug fixes, do continue sending them directly into the
| branch, as we're currently doing, for the moment.
|
| New features should be going into the trunk; if you want to backport
| it to Emacs 22, please wait till after 22.2 is released and propose
| the backport on emacs-devel.
|
| Where in doubt, email emacs-devel.
`----
WRT Gnus, that means...
- branch = EMACS_22_BASE branch in Emacs
-----corresponds-to-----> v5-10 branch in Gnus
- trunk = trunk in Emacs -----corresponds-to-----> trunk in Gnus
- Emacs 22.2 -----corresponds-to-----> Gnus 5.10.10
- Emacs 22 -----corresponds-to-----> v5-10 branch
- emacs-devel -----corresponds-to-----> ding and/or emacs-devel
Bye, Reiner.
