I think we should mention Jesper's suggestion...

(require 'gnus-load)
... in the instructions (for XEmacs only?).

Really?  Isn't gnus-load (as all auto-loads) just a mapping between
say functions and required files.  So, if the load-path has been set
correctly, why can it be possible to load the wrong file?
