Gnus wants to save mime part instead of displaying message

Hi all,

the other day, I received a junk mail which seems to cause some
indigestion on gnus' behalf. Rather oddly, gnus shows the following
prompt when I press space on this particular mail in the summary
buffer:
Save MIME part to:

In the article area I can see the header of the mail at that time,
just as if article washing had not been performed yet. When pressing
C-u g, gnus behaves as expected, i.e., there's no prompt asking where
to save a mime part. The mail appears to be a multipart alternative
message with one text/plain and text/html part respectively.
Additionally, there is an image/jpg part.

I've posted this message on the list twice and it hasn't shown up yet.
Probably, the reason was that I attached the original junk mail so you
could analise it yourselves and some amavis'ish daemon on the way
dropped my message in response. So, if you'd like to see this
mysterious piece of junk, feel free to suggest an appropriate way for
me to provide it to you.

Just for the record: I didn't realise that the image/jpg part was
actually considered the most favourable option in the
multipart/alternative section and that gnus would consequently try to
display it and, as thats impossible on the text console, would fall
back to saving to disk. Adding "image/.*" to my
mm-discouraged-alternatives solved the problem.

JFTR, the most favorable part is specified by the order of the MIME
parts of the message, not by Gnus.  But of course Gnus only has an
option to override this order using `mm-discouraged-alternatives'...
