Subject: [doc-bug] `(message)News Headers': Message-ID
Date: Fri, 16 Jan 2004 21:46:31 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <v9vfnbbp08.fsf@marauder.physik.uni-ulm.de> (raw)
Hi,
the message manual says...
,----[ (info "(message)News Headers") ]
| `Message-ID'
| This required header will be generated by Message. A unique ID
| will be created based on the date, time, user name and system
| name. For the domain part, message will look (in this order) at
| `message-user-fqdn', `system-name', `mail-host-address' and
| `message-user-mail-address' (i.e. `user-mail-address') until a
| probably valid fully qualified domain name (FQDN) was found.
`----
Concerning "system name" in the second sentence, I cannot find this in
`message-unique-id' so this probably refers to the domain part. Am I
missing something? I'd suggest to clarify it, maybe in this way:
