Please don't change this. AFAIK, "doc string" is correct and
preferred[1,2]. It's Richard's preferred spelling since ages:
emacs/lisp$ grep-changelog --author=Stallman --text='doc string'|grep -c '^[12]'
66
emacs/lisp$ grep-changelog --author=Stallman --text='docstring'|head -n1
