I think that Miles can do the syncing independent of the location, e.g.

  [v5-10]gnus/lisp/netrc.el <--> emacs/lisp/net/net/netrc.el

BTW, should `encrypt.el' go in the stable branch (v5-10), too?  Maybe
we already discussed this, but I forgot.
