I found it. Wasn't difficult at all. Here's my solution:
(make-face 'kai-gnus-summary-expirable-face)
(set-face-foreground 'kai-gnus-summary-expirable-face "darkkhaki")
(add-to-list 'gnus-summary-highlight
'((= mark gnus-expirable-mark) . kai-gnus-summary-expirable-face))
