Subject: mail-sources and .authinfo
Date: Sun, 27 Jan 2002 17:51:50 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <vafd6zvd9eh.fsf@lucy.cs.uni-dortmund.de> (raw)
WIBNI I could put the passwd for a mail-sources entry in .authinfo?
I accomplished it via the following ugly hack:
(setq mail-sources `(... (pop :server "foo" :user "bar"
:passwd ,(pw-from-authinfo)) ...))
(defun pw-from-authinfo ()
(require 'nntp)
(let* ((x (gnus-parse-netrc nntp-authinfo-file))
(item (gnus-netrc-machine x "pop"))
(pw (gnus-netrc-get item "password")))
pw))
