Excuse me if this is the wrong list for a usage question... I
typically respond to posts and this has worked well. Today I tried
posting a new article with 'a' and on a send attempt it errors and
says "No method specified to send by". Looking through the docs and
through example .gnus files I got from www.gnus.org as reference
materials I came up with
(setq gnus-post-method '(nntp "news.orgtek.com"))
to tell gnus how to post. Made no difference. My select method is:
(setq gnus-select-method '(nntp "news.orgtek.com"))
news.orgtek.com is my private news server. What else do I need to
tell gnus? It is v0.95 on Emacs 20.4, by the way.

Interesting. I also see this every once in a while. I type C-u 0 C-c
C-c and then choose the right method for posting.
I had thought this was because I set gnus-post-method to `current' and
Gnus sometimes doesn't know what method is current. But it also seems
to happen when gnus-post-method isn't `current'. Hm.

I've never seen this. Hm. Uhm. What is `message-post-method' in the
Message buffer after you've hit `a'?
