When entering the summary buffert of a folder with ticked and unread
articles, is it possible to have Gnus place the cursor on the first
unread message instead of the first message (=a ticked one)?

(Or is there another way to enter a folder (than space/enter) that
does this?)

Type "." to go to the first unread message. I admit that this is one
more keystroke. But I'm sure you can type "RET ." or "SPC ." faster
than Gnus can deal with the RET or SPC so there's no time lost.
