Can you remove the byte-code from the backtrace?  Look below the
byte-code for the function that caused it.  In this case, it's
nntp-retrieve-groups.  Do C-h f on the function to see which file it
was loaded from, nntp in this case.  Do M-x load-library RET nntp.el
RET (the .el is important).  Repeat the backtrace.

Repeat until the byte-code is gone.
