Subject: Slight modification of C-c C-z?
Date: 27 Sep 1998 22:46:32 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <vafr9wxp9lj.fsf@ramses.cs.uni-dortmund.de> (raw)
When I start composing a message, three lines are always inserted: my
name ``kai'' in lowercase, the signature separator ``-- '', and a
witty (I hope) quote.
Now, C-c C-z is already pretty smart: it doesn't delete the line
before the ``-- '', thus I don't need to retype ``kai''. But I wish I
could make it so that more lines aren't deleted, such as an additional
``tia,'' to be put before the ``kai''.
Similar things apply to C-c C-v and maybe some other commands.
How about an option message-before-signature-preserve-lines which I
could set to 1 to get the current behavior, to 2 to get the desired
behavior?
tia,
kai
