I think this marks stuff is important.  For example, it would allow
you to rsync your ~/Mail directory between two machines with no fuss,
even if you otherwise use different servers.

I would be happy if an effort was made to replace the .newsrc.eld file
with per-server (or per-group, even) files.  That would be way cool.
