Subject: gnus-summary-line-format slow?
Date: 18 Apr 1996 09:59:23 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <vafviiyj738.fsf@ls6.informatik.uni-dortmund.de> (raw)
Hi all,
this is my gnus-summary-line-format:
"%U%R%z%I%(%[%d,%4L: %-15,15n%]%) %s
"
Is there anything I could change here so that "Generating summary
buffer..." will be faster? I think this ought to be possible as I
once tried gnus-bbdb-insinuate-summary-buffer which changed
gnus-summary-line-format and created a slow-down by a factor of two!
I kind of have the feeling that %d is the slowest of these, but I
would really like to be able to distinguish between new and old
messages!
tia,
kai
