hello folks.

I've just upgraded to 5.8.6, and have come across these problems

problem number 1)

drafts is broken, but, i'll have a look through the archives before i get
stuck into that problem, i know a few other people have had that happen to
them.

problem number 2)

i can't make a nnimap group named fnorb. i've currently got a group foo,
and i want to move everything in that to a new group called fnorb. i try
500 B m fnorb RET
and i get: No such group:
nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:fnorb. Create it? (y or n) Yes Couldn't
create group nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:fnorb

i've done this for a myriad of other groups, but it's just this group that
doesn't let me do it.

problem number 3)

when i first started using imap, i just used it as a backend, that is, i
just made a new foreign group and used the nnimap backend. now i'm doing
things properly and have made a mail-source list to include the imap
server. It does appear to be working:

nnimap: Updating info for nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:inbox...
nnimap: Updating info for nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:inbox...done
nnml: Reading incoming mail from imap...
Waiting for response from mailhost.dstc.edu.au...done

but every imap folder also gets checked:
nnimap: Updating info for nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:students...
nnimap: Updating info for nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:students...done
nnimap: Updating info for nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:andy...
nnimap: Updating info for nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:andy...done
nnimap: Updating info for nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:anthony...
nnimap: Updating info for nnimap+mailhost.dstc.edu.au:anthony...done
...

for about thirty folders, which is starting to get a little slow :)

any help would be appreciated, thanks

You might not have write permissions to that hierarchy. Your personal
groups are named like INBOX.foo and INBOX.fnorb, at least with the
Cyrus IMAP server.

You are not doing things properly at all. Remove the mail-sources
settings for imap and stick with the nnimap backend.

Using mail-sources means that Gnus fetches the messages from the IMAP
server and writes them to the local disk.

Using an nnimap backend means that Gnus uses the IMAP server to
manipulate the messages on the IMAP server. This is the way that IMAP
servers were meant to be used.
