Subject: picons questions
Date: 08 Dec 1998 13:53:42 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <vgv7lw2ea89.fsf@ms.com> (raw)

With all the complaints about picons not working, I decided to see
what all the fuss was, and give them a try.

I downloaded the picons from indiana.edu, set the hooks, and
everything is cool

Now I have a couple of questions which should be simple.

I'm running XEmacs 21.0, PGnus 0.62.

1. My default background is black. Unfortunately, most picons have
tranparent backgrounds and text in black. This makes the text
unreadable, and I can't tell European flags apart without the text. :-)

What can I do to set the picons' backgrounds to be something
   different?

2. In info (Various->XEmacs Enhancements->Picons->Easy Picons), it
   mentions adding `gnus-picons-article-display-x-face' to
   `gnus-article-display-hook'. I have `gnus-article-display-x-face'
on there already, and I display my picons in the article buffer.

Should I change to picons' method? It seems like the only
difference is that I the X-Face in `gnus-header-name-face' instead
   of `gnus-x-face'.

Thanks for any answers.
