I guess you are looking at the long-term, hard solution. My short-term solution is based on my expectations of the people who create transparent icons. I assume that the people who create transparent icons are the same morons that set the foreground color of an HTML document, but not the background color. All these people seem to assume that everyone is using a light background. All that I would need to be happy is to be able to set the background of the picon. So if you could give me a `gnus-picon-face' to customize, I would be more than grateful. -- Colin
