My situation is similar: I can access the Exchange server by IMAP, thus I'm able to read the mails with Gnus. I can also send mails by SMTP (via the Exchange server) but only for corporate mail addresses (i.e. people in our house or people in our corporate WAN); the Exchange server doesn't act as an SMTP relay for external addresses which means I have to send those mails by using Outlook again. :-( > I've been thinking about investigating if there is support for this > authentication method in Gnus, and if the same (or a different) > authentication method can be used when sending mail with SMTP.
