Hello.
I use XEmacs/Gnus 5.8.8, with the nnimap backend.
My incoming mail is sorted through procmail, and delivered with dmail
from the UW-IMAP utilities to several IMAP folders.
In most cases, there are no problems. However, my INBOX group is very
frequently complaining with the uidvalidity error. As some people (I
cannot remember who, sorry) told me in the past, when this error
occurs, I reset this uid (G p), save (s) .newsrc.eld, then restart
Gnus. This is boring. Every new mail not filtered to imap folders and
then stored in my INBOX causes this error.
Please, is there a way to tell Gnus to automatically cleanup uids when
it encounters such problems ?
Thanks.
Nicolas.
