Exactly my impression, too. For years, I had the impression that the
worst enemies of MIME are those implementing it. :-)
I'm not really a MIME lover, I find it a bit oldish already, and there are
limitations to it. However, I think MIME addresses real problems, and
it is nearly the only solution at hand that has a some chance to become
widely accepted. It is taking really many long years to get there.
I hardly imagine all the time it will take for some next better step! :-)
