One strong incentive for me is the idea of putting faces, smiles and characters (at least, I have one! :-) on those email names I saw all around on my screen for so long. This might also be my only chance, as I'm really not a traveller. I'll see if I cannot find something to speak about, which the organisers would judge interesting enough to warrant me there.
