In recent Oort -- since sometime in the last week, though I don't know
precisely when -- behavior of `.' (gnus-summary-first-unread-article)
has gone awry. `.' is giving me some random article in *Summary*
rather than the first unread one, and more perversely, it gets stuck
on a particular article repeatedly, even when there are other unread
articles remaining.
Can anyone else at least confirm this misbehavior?

It should already be fixed in version 6.294 of gnus-sum.el.

I can confirm both seeing the problem and then seeing Kevin's fix
announcement before I had a chance to complain :-) I updated an hour
ago and the problem does seem to be gone.
