I am using emacs 20.3, and am sucessfully doing the faces thing.
When I see an X-Face: header, I can type 'W f' and up it comes.
Is there a way for this to happen automatically (using emacs, not
xemacs)? If gnus sees an X-Face: header, it does 'W f'
automatically?

Note that the face will appear in a separate window.

Not if the default XEmacs setting for gnus-article-x-face-command is
still in force ('gnus-xmas-article-display-xface).

The context was FSF Emacs.

Oh, duh. I see I'm still not yet de-conditioned from seeing 20.x as
anything but an XEmacs release.
