Hi,

gnus just hung while fetching my mail. I narrowed it down to the
attached e-mail freak. When I quit, the following
backtrace is produced:

I'm unable to reproduce this with 0.70, at least, so perhaps it has
been fixed...

The hang and stack trace is identical to one I sent a couple weeks ago
about long recipient lists, a bug for which Colin had sent a patch
(message subject just "[patch]") for 0.69.

I installed 0.69 on monday and discovered yesterday that 316kB worth
of email had ended up in ~/.gnus-crash-box (I discovered it, because
Gnus got stuck while fetching mail).

I downgraded to 5.6.42 today, it fetched the mail from the crash box
and works fine.

The emails in the crash box doesn't have long recipient lists. At
least all of them wasn't.

I had the same problem this morning, also using 0.69. The message Gnus
was choking on did have a fairly large recipients list. I should still
have it around in its original state somewhere if that would be useful
(before I went into the .gnus-crash-box and manually deleted a bunch
of recipients).

Yup. Fix in Pterodactyl Gnus v0.70.

Hm... none of the messages in my crash box had particularily long
recipients lists.

Anyways, I downgraded temporarily to 5.6.42 and it slurped the
messages in just fine. After discovering that the gnus delivered with
xemacs on S.u.S.E. 5.3 was configured by default to use tm, and
unfortunately post everything in QP, and unelashing a lot of QP
messages on an unprepared USENET, i went back to pgnus 0.65 which has
worked fine since I got it.

But since I trust larsi, I will upgrade to 0.70 when it is
available...:-)

Same thing here, problem email (with long recipient list) follows. I
deleted the email from .gnus-crash-box and all proceeded normally.

Hello All!
FYI: Focus on the Family radio is having a two part segment on Y2K with author Michael Hyatt as the main speaker. It started tonight (1/11) and will continue tomorrow night. I thought it informative and interesting.

{Locally (NW Washington State), it can be heard on 106.5FM at 10AM and 8PM}
