I find line count to be very useful in *Summary* because it gives me a sense of how much babbling someone has done, and I also score up or down on line count in some groups. I always felt that the deprecation of Lines was due merely to Henry Spencer's (and perhaps Geoff Collyer's) personal bias against it, for which I have no explanation.
