Subject: Entry to empty nnml group errors out on cache attempt
Date: 14 Jan 2000 12:20:47 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <vxkd7r4fu34.fsf@beaver.jprc.com> (raw)

I notice that any nnml group which lacks any articles not merely
cannot be entered, but throws an error on a cache function name which
doesn't exist.

Signaling: (void-function gnus-cache-articles-in-group)
  gnus-cache-articles-in-group("nnml:archive.y2000.personal.karl")
  gnus-articles-to-read("nnml:archive.y2000.personal.karl" t)
  gnus-select-newsgroup("nnml:archive.y2000.personal.karl" t nil)
gnus-summary-read-group-1("nnml:archive.y2000.personal.karl" t nil nil nil nil)
gnus-summary-read-group("nnml:archive.y2000.personal.karl" t nil nil nil nil nil)
  gnus-group-read-group(nil nil nil)
  gnus-topic-read-group(nil)
  call-interactively(gnus-topic-read-group)

I don't use the cache at all, and I wouldn't know why it's attempting
to use cache functions for a mail group in the first place.
