Subject: How am I seeing *both* \2xx *and* iso-8859 chars?
Date: 27 Aug 1999 17:10:22 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <vxkr9kpdj5t.fsf@beaver.jprc.com> (raw)
Please see http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~karl/gnus/pterodactyl/charset.gif (56K).
Note headers shown there:
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
But the peculiar problem is that the article displays both real 8859
characters (superscript 1, one-quarter) as well as \223 and \205.
p0.95, XEmacs 21.2.b19.
