Thanx for further effort. Trying `B m' yet again, I took a bit of
diagnostic mail I received in nnml:mailer-daemon and tried to send it
to nnml:tomb, with this result:

Apparently, p0.48 decided it liked a newline stuck at the top,
something I mentioned last time around. The result was manufacture of
a new mess o' bogus MIME headers.

I looked at it a bit w/edebug. message-encode-message-body has at
least 2 problems, when using `B m':

- (message-goto-body) leaves (point) at 1, considering what the
following narrow-to-region does, so the entire message is regarded
  as body content, and
- when inserting the Content-Type line, it gets put in after the
(search-forward "\n\n"), which leaves point at the end of the
discovered string. Something like (forward-line -1) is in order,
  before (insert line).

I'm not sufficiently confident of what's going on here to offer
patches directly, however.
