Well, of course there's a way. This is Emacs, after all. You just
have to write the code yourself. :-)
Take a look at the function `gnus-article-date-ut'. Copy it somewhere
else, give it a new name and remove the part that mentions
`nnheader-remove-header'. Modify the display hook to point to this
new function. Presto!
