Message-ID: <w8s7n031z0o.fsf@surt.ifi.uio.no> (raw)

(How does one spell "persist{e,a}nt"?)

I've added a new value to the `gnus-use-cache' variable -- `passive'.
This means that gnus-cache will ignore all article marks, and won't
exit/enter anything from the cache unless you explicitly tell it to.

`*' is the command for entering (process/prefixed) articles into the
cache, and `M-*' is the command for removing the articles from the
cache. Articles that are present in the cache have a `*'
(`gnus-cached-mark') in the second column.

I have not added a new article mark list to the info; keeping that
synched with the actual cache seemed like too much writing.

The second summy column is getting a bit crowded - process mark, cache
mark, and replied mark, in that order of precedence. So if you have
replied to an article that's in the cache, you won't be able to see
that... Hmn.
