Will clicking on an URL that looks like mailto:ketil@ii.uib.no make
gnus fire up Netscape? I know this is the behaviour in the
gnus-5.0.xx that I use, has it been fixed yet?

When following up and yanking the original, the Path:
header line and attribution line are typically longer than
80 columns. Could the 'you have lines longer than 79 columns'
warning be set to not flag the attribution line in the body ?
I think it already skips over the header lines.

September Gnus 0.17 will handle this internally.

Well, header lines (like Path) are skipped. Lines in the body
shouldn't be longer than 80 characters, whether they are attribution
lines or not.

Please provide a switch to turn this off too. And please don't turn
ftp: methods into calls to ange-ftp either. I'd *much* rather have
Lynx do it (to keep Emacs process size down).

Maybe if you implement it with an assoc list like:
(("mailto:" . 'gnus-url-handle-mailto)
 ("ftp:" . 'pass-through))
...
or some such.

Well, you can set `gnus-button-alist' to whatever you feel like,
really... You can also `fset' `gnus-button-reply' to call a Web
browser instead. Etc. But I think that Gnus should handle mailto:
URLs internally by default.
