Hm... none of the messages in my crash box had particularily long recipients lists. Anyways, I downgraded temporarily to 5.6.42 and it slurped the messages in just fine. After discovering that the gnus delivered with xemacs on S.u.S.E. 5.3 was configured by default to use tm, and unfortunately post everything in QP, and unelashing a lot of QP messages on an unprepared USENET, i went back to pgnus 0.65 which has worked fine since I got it. But since I trust larsi, I will upgrade to 0.70 when it is available...:-)
