Not for me.  I ended up editing /ftp@quimby.gnus.org:/pub/gnus/ into 
<URL:ftp://quimby.gnus.org:/pub/gnus/pgnus.tar.gz> before using wget
(thanx Hrvoje!) to fetch it.

Since quimby resides at EUNET and EUNET is our ISP, and we have a 2MB
connection there, the transfer rate was very comfortable for me...
