RFC2046, section 4.5.2. It doesn't seem to mention EPS with a word.
There isn't strictly speaking any difference between EPS and PS. The
only difference, is that an EPS page has a bounding box for the
rendered result in a comment.
Then of course, there's EPSI which has both that bounding box and a
TIFF low-res rendering...
Why do you need to differ between EPS and PS? Eg. GhostScript will
swallow both without complaining.
