I installed 0.69 on monday and discovered yesterday that 316kB worth of email had ended up in ~/.gnus-crash-box (I discovered it, because Gnus got stuck while fetching mail). I downgraded to 5.6.42 today, it fetched the mail from the crash box and works fine. The emails in the crash box doesn't have long recipient lists. At least all of them wasn't.
