Hi,

I think that Gnus is marking messages as read in my Agent groups just
because they are expired on the server. I expected that Gnus would
only mark articles as read once I had read them.

Does anyone know how to stop this.

Thanks.

Lars is aware of this bug. One easy, but annoying, way to "fix" it,
is to `B c' the articles to an nnml group.

(I had really hoped this had been fixed before releasing 5.6.)

Thanks.

You're right this isn't very satisfactory. It's almost the same as just
using the Cache, twice.

How about "!" marking all articles in a group? Will Gnus still go
ahead and mark Server expired articles as read?

I don't know, but Gnus makes server-expired articles unavailable(!)
even when they are in the cache.
