Hello Lars!

I guess you've been told by now, but the texi stuff in .23 doesn't
compile unless you add another '@' to your mail address in
gnus.texi (i think it's in the chapter `Group parameters').

A lot of problems vanished after I set everything up by the book
(instead of using symlinks pointing around to weird places). The
`Couldn't move article' problem is still there, though. I'll try
to look into it when I encounter it next time (last time it was
4am and I was too tired to start debugging).

In a related note, since around 5.4.15 or so, the texi files will not
save on a Win32 box if you use the Makefile to generate them. I am not
sure why, yet, because if I generate them interactively everything works
fine.

Perhaps you have a wonky "make" or something?

GNU make, GNU bash... so I think not. Emacs does the update and
conversion, it just does not save anything when it is done.

After poking around a bit more I have determined that it is not make and it
is not the shell that is at fault. I think NTEmacs itself is causing the
command line to be truncated.

It's true. There's a shell script (or batch file, whatever you want
to call it) that runs the actually binary. By default, I think it
only uses the first 7 arguments or something stupid like that.
(Fortunately, I nuked all of my windows installations and replaced
them with bsdi and thus can't really check for sure :)
