Subject: Different nntp servers
Date: 19 Mar 1996 02:25:00 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <x6ivg1gavh.fsf@eyesore.no> (raw)

I don't think I've ever seen a list of nntp servers and what commands
they support. I think it might be interesting to have such a list, so
I guess I'll just have to do it myself... with everybody pitching in,
of course.

If you have access to a non-innd server, connect to it and say "help":

$ telnet my.nntp.server nntp
HELP

Send me the complete output from the session. The odder the server,
the better. If you just read from an innd server, you do *not* have
to do this.

If you have other interesting data on the server (peculiariar output
from some commands, slow/fast response times, whatever), that might be
nice to have as well.

Send the results to me, not to the list.
