I just starting using XEmacs today, and trying to get everything working.
I had Sept. Gnus version 0.48, in which the mail-reply is broken, I think
Steven Baur posted a fix, I'll have to scrounge through the ding-archive
for it. Anyways I'd like to say that XEmacs is pretty decent, although it
lacks some features I've gotten used to in GNU Emacs 19.29+.
No offense Lars, but the default faces for XEmacs are really ugly. I'm not
quite sure if XEmacs has a different face setup then GNU Emacs, anyone
have any sample gnus-group-highlight, gnus-header-face-alist's that I could
play with, I've been going over the XEmacs faq to see the differences in
face setups. I'm a pastels person myself, and the dark greens and reds...
(gnus-group-mail) doesn't seem to call mail-mode-hook, as my
(mail-abbrevs-setup) function is never called. This just doesn't make
sense since the major mode is definately mail-mode, and I figured GNU Emacs
by default would call the mode hook associated with that mode. I'll check
my setup again. Oh is there mail-abbrevs or equivalent for XEmacs?
d.
