You know, you said you were going to implement it (for 0.21 I think),
but its never worked for me.  (well, it is right now since I just
implemented it).

I'll try to back off later today to your code without my patch and
test it again (with 0.24).  However, my news server appears to be down 
right now, so I can't test it at the moment.
