The problem is that it doesn't revert to it's proper value, and when
you start Gnus it thinks all your nnmh are empty when they aren't.
Trying to open them leads to an error because Gnus is looking in
~/News/drafts/ instead of ~/Mail/ for the messages.  With the patch I
posted though, things work as they should.
