Is anyone else having trouble reaching it. My DNS resolves it to
195.204.10.66 which has been unreachable since at least Saturday, 10
November.

Just curious if I need to be beating on my ISP.

Thanks,

That's what I get too.

I was able to update just now.

Yeah me too. On the other hand, I just did the update at work. I'll
try again from home tonight.

Most likely, your home IP address has no reverse DNS. There was a
thread about this problem a few weeks ago, and that was the general
consensus.

But nothing has happened since then. I cannot update gnus (on my local
machine behind a firewall) because of this settings, and no CVS
snapshots are available any more, too.

BTW: if you cannot get cvs access from a machine, you also cannot ftp.

That's true sometimes, but not generally. It's entirely possible to
configure an ftp server to not care about the reverse DNS records,
even if the CVS service on the same machine cares.

No, I saw that thread. Although the DNS name is pretty meaningless,
verizon does provide one. I just got an update. Traceroute shows
some common service clouds between work and home. I'm guessing one of
them had some problems over the weekend when I was trying to get
through.
