Is it possible to get old-style forwarding instead of MIME forwarding
in pgnus 0.84?

There's just too much email software out there that croaks on MIME
style forwarded messages. Stuff behind X400 gateways seems to lose
the forwarded messages.

Hm... I wonder if the forwarding style could made be dependent on the
receipient? I really would like MIME forwards most of the time.

No (AFAIK). But you can manually remove `<\#part>' delimiters while editing
message in MML mode.

That's what I've been doing. That is, the ordinary forward adds to
many headers, so I've been using "Digest and Mail". Less stuff to
edit away... only... if the message you wish to forward is the fist of
a thread "Digest and Mail" adds the entire thread, so you end up with
quite a bit of stuff to edit away anyway.

Speaking about the stuff to edit away, included below are the headers
I get when I try to forward your messages. It seems to me that many
of these really should not be here, e.g. "X-Gnus-Mail-Source",
"X-Gnus-Article-Number" and maybe "Xref", since they were added
by Gnus. Similarly, maybe "X-From-Line:" should be removed or
converted back to "From" I think.

Also, it would be nice if I could configure my set-up to omit
additional headers, e.g. Received headers. Is there I variable for
this? I looked in the manual (0.80) and couldn't find it.

I think this has been fixed in 0.85.
