Subject: Agent mode, how to start unplugged?
Date: 26 Nov 1997 08:36:46 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <x8q4t502jjl.fsf@alf.laas.fr> (raw)
I noticed that the first time I fire up Gnus in an emacs session, it connects
to my nntp server. Then, if I quit (gnus, not emacs), and start it again it
seems like it starts in the mode it was left (not sure though).
Could it be possible to have a variable to set the startup status (plugged or
unplugged). Often, I want to read news without starting my PPP link.
(if I start without the PPP link, it says it cannat connect, and if I proceed,
all the groups have * articles and the groups are not selectable)
