Subject: hotmail webmail - invalid-function (macro
Date: 09 Jan 2001 10:28:54 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <xmwitnp6pm1.fsf@feynman.oslo.infostream.no> (raw)

Getting an odd message when getting mail with hotmail webmail in:

oort v0.01, w3 4.0pre.46 (with one-line-cookie patch in place).

 (setq mail-sources
      '((file)
        (pop :server   "sdps.demon.co.uk"
             :user     "myuser"
             :password "mypass")
        (webmail :subtype  hotmail
                 :user     "my_hotmail_user"
                 :password "my_hotmail_pass")))

It contacts hotmail, then says Retrieval complete - then gives:

Mail Source Error ((invalid-function (macro . #[(urlobj) \301^H\302BB\207 (urlobj aref (3)} 3]))) Continue (y or n)

The debug output (if you select n) is:

Signaling: (error "Cannot get new mail.")
  signal(error ("Cannot get new mail."))
  error("Cannot get new mail.")
  byte-code("ÁÂÃ\b\"!„
  mail-source-fetch((webmail :subtype hotmail :user "my_hotmail_user" :password "my_hotmail_pass") (lambda (file orig-file) (nnmail-split-incoming file (quote nnml-save-mail) (quote nil) (nnmail-get-split-group orig-file source) (quote nnml-active-number))))
  nnmail-get-new-mail(nnml nnml-save-nov "~/Mail/" nil)
  nnml-request-scan(nil "")
  gnus-request-scan(nil (nnml ""))
  gnus-read-active-file-1((nnml "") nil)
  gnus-read-active-file()
  gnus-group-get-new-news(nil)
* call-interactively(gnus-group-get-new-news)

Any ideas welcome
