In some sense I think it would be rather nice to not have any colors at all by default (well, black is ok). I usually sit by my nice 20" gray scale monitor, but when I for some reason is forced to use a color monitor I always get a bit of a shock when I start Gnus. (No, I haven't bothered to turn the coloring off) /Johan
